The mission of the Sheriff's Office is to protect the lives and property of all citizens within the county. The Sheriff's Office is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for Halifax County citizens to live and work. The Sheriff's Office fulfills its mission by enforcing the law, investigating crimes, maintaining the county jail, serving civil and criminal processes and providing security for court systems.
