Planning & Zoning Administration
The Planning/Zoning Department services include properties in the county which are outside the municipalities limits and their extra territorial jurisdiction. A Certificate of Zoning Compliance permit is required for any structures being built and/or enlarged; mobile home installations and/or mobile home replacements, etc. Any new business or enlargements to existing businesses or change in business operations requires a Conditional Use permit. This department is responsible for determining zoning districts, building setbacks, lot sizes, subdivision approvals, floodplain data, watershed data, etc. If you have questions about any of the above, please call our office.
