Board Of Elections Board of Elections

The Board of Elections makes sure our voices are heard by supporting the voting process in Halifax County. The Board of elections staff works year-round to conduct national, state, county, and municipal elections in addition to special referendums. The duties of the Election office include: registering new voters, providing ballots and staffing for Halifax County's thirty (30) precinct polling places, keeping voter registrations updated by removing deceased, felon, and voters that have moved from the county, keeping abreast of changes in election laws and regulations and maintaining campaign reports for candidates.
